I can’t just pray for a safe, injury-free game where the best team wins? No, I’ll go with my ancestry and root for the Deutschland now that USA & France are out. I’d be more enthusiastic if you had something to offer for my support like a great new book by Tim O’Leary.

The French are still in the cup. At least until Tuesday when they play Spain.
