I had the chance to go to an LA Kings NHL game tonight. Our Production Director at work got me a pair of VIP tickets. Luckily, one of my coworkers decided to come along. Otherwise, it would have been a long walk to Staples Center. Believe it or not, I think downtown LA is about 20 miles away from my house. This city is just huge. Anyway, the Kings beat the Oilers 4:2. We couldn’t get a hot dog in the section we sat in. Professional sports games in LA are all about Sushi and Caviar. There really isn’t anything normal or average about this city.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
