I am back training for a marathon. My mother decided that this was going to be the year that all of us (mama, papa, mario) run a marathon together, the Portland Marathon. Well, my mum tore all sorts of tendons in her ankle, so now it’s just me and my dad. We’re still going to run the marathon, and are currently preparing ourselves with wildly unconventional training methods.
A month into his training program, my dad is surpassing all expectations in his quest to train for and run a marathon without losing an ounce of body weight. My mum can’t believe it.
Myself, I’ve managed to go out the night before every single long training run so far. When it comes time to run the marathon all I will have to do is stay sober the night before which is going to shock my body across the finish line.
For some reason, I don’t think either one of us are going to break any other records.
