my friend mark
Tonight I want to mention my good friend and colleague Mark. If I have made one good friend since moving to Los Angeles, it’s Mark. Mark is a fellow European who was born in Poland and actually has lived in Germany before. We have been hanging out quite a bit and have even picked up the sport of golf together. I have been very fortunate to meet Mark and already have learnt a great from the guy. Mark’s dad has gotten very sick over the last couple of years and chances are that he won’t be around for too much longer. Mark has taken off from work to spend these last few days with his dad.
I am writing this with tears in my eyes. I have to say that I have the deepest sense of admiration for Mark. He is only a few years older than me, but much stronger than anyone I have ever met. My thoughts are with Mark and his family.
Mark, I know that you probably will never read this entry, but if you do run across it, you should know that I look up to you. I have only known you for a few months, yet the impact you left on me will be around forever. Thank you Mark. You are a hero in my book.
