On my way back from work, I saw this large mass of people standing in front of “the museum of tolerance”. After approaching a little closer, I realized that it was just press. I couldn’t exactly figure what was going on, but became quickly apparent as Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife started walking out of the building. It was a commemoration for the victims of September 11th. I listened to what he had to say, even though he spend more time lighting candles than talking. It was awesome to be only 6 feet away from this guy. After all, he is the other famous germanic person in California.
It’s pretty crazy that he is running for governor in the state of California. I am not sure if he would make a good governor or not. But other than I know the person personally, I don’t think I could and should ever make that judgement. From a qualification standpoint, I think he is at least as qualified as Bush was to be President. Sure, he doesn’t have a long career in politics to show for, but I think that most of the things he touched in his life have turned into success. He was probably the best bodybuilder ever. A very successful actor and he had quite a bit of success in business. That says something.Who knows. If he becomes governor of California, I will have to run for some office as well. Just for heck of it. Maybe I could be on the Beverly Hills City Council. Or become a part time warden of a public library. Millions of opportunities.
