Seasonal Businesses

Reading the Wall Street Journal, I ran across an article that instantaneously caught my attention. Lifestyle businesses have popped up everywhere and more and more people are chosing to start a  business that is closely connected with their favorable lifestyle. Now that is great, but you always run into the danger of getting sick of your hobby and your dream job could quickly turn into a nightmare.

Now here is a different idea. You work 3 months out of the year and spend the rest of the time living the lifestyle you chose. Mark Henricks from the Wall Street Journal gives you some examples of what this seasonal business could look like. Check out http://www.startupjournal.com/columnists/startuplifestyle/20021210-lifestyle.html .

Especially around Christmas time (when people spend the most money), there are a ton of opportunities. Read the article and keep your eyes open. Maybe next year you will run your own seasonal business.
