tide pools

tide pools

So after writing in my blog last night, I headed over to this girl’s house. She was supposed to have cooked dinner, but I didn’t see any of that. There was a bunch of girls there and it was astounding to see how they reacted to me being from Germany. I am not sure how they found out, but they were really excited about me being German. It was almost like a foreigner bonus, which I really haven’t experienced in quite a while. We went to some bar called “College Inn” afterwards, where we played some pool and had a few beers. It was a pretty cool bar. Almost reminded me of a German bar.

This morning Joe and I headed out to see “tide pools”. Some random thought that Joe had, and I can’t say that it worked out in our favor. All we knew was that we had to leave the interstate at exit #250. What we didn’t know that this exit was almost at the Canadian border. We ended up exiting in some Indian reservation and ended up at a place called “Warm Beach”. There were no tide pools. Just a bunch of locals fishing. I did see a dead crab. Joe made it sound like it was going to almost be like a zoo, as he expected to encounter a multitude of wildlife. Well, he was wrong. It reminded me more of a sewage plant. We should have just gone to the zoo. I took some pretty funny pictures. Maybe I will try to post them on my blog later…
